Your councillors
Parish Councils are the first tier of local government. It's members are elected every 4 years, although if a member retires mid term a replacement is co-opted on to the council for the remainder of the 4 year period.
Pickmere Parish Council has eight councillors whose role is to represent the interests of residents of the Parish.

The second tier of local Government is Macclesfield Borough Council who amongst other things is responsible for environmental issues, waste collection and planning regulations.

Cheshire County Council
The final tier of local government is Cheshire County Council responsible for amongst other things schools, footpaths, roads and street lighting. Further information can be found on their web site.
