Clubs and Societies in or associated with Pickmere

Pickmere Luncheon Club for Senior Citizens meets every alternate Wednesday at Pickmere Methodist Chapel. It is a non-denominational organisation open to all Pickmere residents who are 60 years of age or older. A two-course meal is served at a very reasonable price at midday and you will be warmly welcomed. Numbers are strictly limited.

Pickmere Art Group would welcome any resident interested in drawing or painting. This is a very friendly group who meet on Monday mornings between 10.30am and 12.30pm at various venues. You are assured of a very warm welcome.

Pickmere Photographic and Heritage Society meets on the third Thursday of the month, normally at the Village Hall. There are two photographic contests each year for the members as well as talks and social events. If you have an interest in photography or your local heritage get in touch for more information.

Pickmere & District W.I. meet on the last Wednesday of the month at the Village Hall. Meetings start at 7.30pm. Any Pickmere ladies who are interested should contact Frances Bassett, the Secretary on 01565 733639

LOCAL EVENTS

Father Christmas is coming to Pickmere on Wednesday 17 December arriving at 6pm and travelling through the village. Santa's helpers will be collecting for East Cheshire Hospice.

Carol singing around our lovely Christmas tree will be at 8pm on 17 December, led by Anna Walton and accompanied by Mereside Brass. There will be mulled wine and mince pies. Please come and join us!
